Hello , I'm Emma, the florist behind Grow and Bloom. 

I’ve always had a love for flowers—how they brighten a room, mark special moments, and bring people together. My floristry journey began in our garden during lockdown, where a simple hobby of growing blooms quickly became a passion. What started with a few plants turned into something much bigger, and now I get to share that love through the arrangements I create.

Family life and flowers go hand in hand for us. You’ll often find us pottering around the garden, tending to our little cutting patch, or browsing garden centres for just one more plant to squeeze in. I can never resist bringing home something new—even when I promise not to! My little boy is always by my side, leaving a trail of muddy footprints and making sure no plant goes un-watered. Those moments together, surrounded by nature, make this journey even more special.

I’m drawn to designs that feel natural—like the way flowers grow in a garden. My arrangements have a soft, organic feel, full of movement and delicate textures, letting each flower take its place naturally. I love how colour can set a mood—whether it’s soft pastels for a romantic feel or richer tones to make a statement. I work with the best seasonal blooms, creating arrangements that feel effortless, elegant, and inspired by the beauty of nature.

We grow a small selection of flowers at home and on our allotment—nowhere near flower farmer scale, but there’s something so meaningful about including homegrown blooms in my designs. Whether it’s a dreamy wedding installation or a thoughtful gift bouquet, I pour my heart into every arrangement, always aiming to create something personal and full of care.

In 2021, I became a mum, and it was then that I decided to follow my passion for floristry full-time. After 10 years in retail, I wanted to create something that would allow me to work around family life and do something I love. Starting this business has been a leap I’ll never regret, and though the mum juggle is real, it’s an honour to balance my love for flowers with the joy of being present for my family.
